Lorene Foster started Frog Mama because of her love for baby wearing and her passion for promoting bonding and attachment in other families. She has now been in business for 5 years, and says she still loves helping moms find carriers, cloth diapers and other products that will meet their specific needs.

Frog stands for Fully Rely On God and Lorene chose the name because she “realize[s] that God is faithful to provide if I just rely on him.”

Frog Mama has a variety of carriers in stock including buckle carriers, mei tais, ring slings, wraps and pouches with brands such as Angel Pack, Baby Hawk, Maya Wrap, Moby Wrap, Baby K'Tan, and more. With so many carriers to choose from, Lorene says she chooses to stock these brands because they are “well made, safe and comfortable for many moms.”

Regarding the recent safety warnings about bag slings, she says, “Use common sense. Make sure you can see your baby, especially if they are under 4 months old, at all times in the carrier. I prefer the upright tummy to tummy position, my kids all preferred it and it is easier to get the safe position that way. On top of great products, Lorene also provides great service. Her priority is helping moms find products that will work for them, and she provides a toll free number for customers to call for help with ordering, choosing between products, or using them. She even helps out moms who would like to have a carrier but can't afford it, by offering a layaway program and a trade in program. Still can't afford one? Don't forget, Lorene is a work-at- home mom, juggling dirty diapers and customer calls, cooking dinner and getting orders shipped. How does she do it? Lorene says, “It is a constant struggle. I haven't figured it out yet. Customers are important, family is important. It is a lot of work, a lot of late nights. Always trying to prioritize what really needs to be done.” Like most work-at-home moms, it sounds like she has a lot on her plate, but judging by her growing business and dedication to her customers, “FROGging” is serving her well.
